Emigrated to St. MaryÕs County, Maryland, early in 1642; mentioned in the levy on St. MaryÕs Hundred of August 2, 1642, assessed 30 lbs tobacco (Browne, Archives MD, 143). In the call for a General Assembly on September he is listed as an absent freeman of Kent (erected 1642). Records show he was a Barber-Chirurgeon in 1642*: litigates with feve patients for unpaid bills (300-955 lb tobacco per cure) (Browne, op cit.) *ÓEOD [1/5/1643] Robt Ellyson barbar-chirurgeon demandeth of Sr Edmond Ploydon Knt 1156 [lbs] tob; due by acct of chirurery & physick this lastsumer for Ellen & Jane Stevenson, maidservts of the said Sr Edmond.Ó Browne, 215.
